How we structure every engagement

Every project at Pandaivivid follows the same four-step process: a discovery call to align on vision and logistics, a pre-shoot walkthrough for complex locations, the shoot day itself, and a post-production window of 10–21 business days depending on volume. Weddings receive a private online gallery of 400–600 fully colour-graded images. Portrait sessions of 90 minutes yield 30–50 selects. Commercial and event packages are scoped individually — but you'll always know exactly what you're getting before you sign anything.

What we don't cover — and why that matters

We don't take on every enquiry, and we think that's a good thing. Pandaivivid doesn't offer same-day turnarounds — post-production takes the time it takes, and rushing it shows. We also don't guarantee specific weather or lighting conditions for outdoor shoots (though we're experienced at reading Victoria's weather and rescheduling when needed). Highly stylised fantasy compositing work falls outside our editorial approach. If you need heavily retouched conceptual artwork rather than genuine documentary or editorial imagery, we'll happily point you toward studios better suited to that style.

Questions we hear before almost every booking

How far in advance should we book?

For weddings, 6–12 months ahead is the safe range — summer Saturdays in Victoria fill fastest. Portraits and smaller commercial shoots can often be arranged within 2–4 weeks. If your date is approaching, still reach out: we occasionally have last-minute availability.

Do you travel outside Victoria?

Yes. We regularly shoot across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Travel within 100 km of downtown Victoria is included in wedding packages. Further destinations — the Okanagan, Whistler, or international — are quoted with a travel supplement.

What if the weather is awful on our shoot day?

For outdoor portrait sessions we build one free reschedule into every booking. For weddings, rain is rarely a reason to postpone — overcast Pacific Northwest light is genuinely flattering, and we come prepared with reflectors and portable flash if the scene calls for it.

Can we request specific editing styles?

Within our editorial palette — the cool, violet-leaning tones that define Pandaivivid's look — yes. We're happy to lighten or warm the grade, or to deliver a small set of black-and-white conversions alongside the colour gallery. We don't wholesale switch to a different visual identity per client.

What's included in the usage licence for commercial work?

Standard commercial packages include a two-year, Canada-wide digital and print licence. Extended licences — international use, in-perpetuity rights, or exclusive third-party licensing — are available and priced separately at scoping.
